1. Perishable Food Safety & Physical Returns
In accordance with USDA food safety regulations, Virginia Department of Agriculture standards, and cold-chain safety integrity, we cannot accept physical returns of perishable meat products once picked up from the processor. Once deep-frozen beef leaves the controlled cold-storage custody of our USDA-inspected processing facility, it cannot be safely returned, restocked, or resold to another family.
While physical meat cannot be returned, our family stands firmly behind the quality of our cattle and our butcher’s workmanship. If you encounter any issue with your order, we will make it right through a replacement or refund as detailed below.
2. Reservation Deposit Cancellation Policy
Our bulk beef portions (Quarter Beef, Half Beef, or Whole Beef) are secured in advance by placing a reservation deposit at checkout, as shown on our product ordering pages.
When you place a deposit, our family farm reserves an animal from our pasture herd and commits our slaughter and delivery logistics to meet butcher scheduling. We have an announced order deadline for each seasonal batch:
- Cancellations Prior to the Order Deadline: If you cancel your reservation before the announced order deadline for your batch, you will receive a 100% full refund of your reservation deposit to your original payment method.
- Cancellations After the Order Deadline: Once the order deadline has passed, reservation deposits are non-refundable. After this cutoff, animal counts, slaughter dates, and delivery logistics are locked in with the processor and cannot be reallocated without significant agricultural loss.

3. Quality Guarantee & Order Issue Resolutions (48-Hour Window)
Every cut of Lund Angus beef is custom dry-aged for 14 days, butcher-cut, vacuum-sealed, and frozen at Schrock’s Processing in Gladys, VA. We want you to be delighted with your freezer beef.
If you experience any of the following issues upon retrieving your order, please notify us within 48 hours of pickup:
- Packaging or Seal Compromise: Any damaged vacuum packaging or broken seals that occurred prior to pickup.
- Incorrect Cuts or Missing Portions: Cuts that differ from your cut sheet specifications or missing portions from your order.
- Quality or Condition Concerns: Severe freezer-burn or off-condition meat attributable to processing or cold storage prior to pickup.
How to Report an Issue
To help us resolve the issue swiftly, please contact us within 48 hours of pickup through our online contact form with:
- Your full name and order or invoice number
- A description of the discrepancy or issue
- Clear photographs of the affected package(s), cut label, and vacuum seal
Upon reviewing your inquiry (typically within 24 to 48 hours), we will provide one of the following resolutions:
- Replacement Cuts: If suitable replacement cuts are available at the processor, we will arrange for you to pick up replacement packages at no charge.
- Refund or Credit: If replacement cuts are unavailable or impractical, we will issue a prompt prorated or full refund directly to your original payment method.
4. Refund Processing Timeline
All approved refunds are submitted directly through our payment merchant back to the original payment method (the credit card or debit card used at checkout). Please note the following refund terms:
- Processing Time: Once approved, refunds are initiated immediately and typically appear on your statement within 5 to 7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer’s policies.
- Restocking Fees: $0.00. We never charge restocking fees under any circumstances.
- Return Shipping Fees: $0.00 / Not Applicable. All orders are fulfilled via customer pickup at our local processor. You will never be charged return shipping or handling fees.

We do not provide shipping or delivery services. Customers are notified as soon as their beef has completed the 14-day dry-aging and freezing process and is boxed and ready for pickup. Please bring appropriate heavy-duty coolers, moving blankets, or insulated totes to transport your frozen beef home safely.
