100% Grass-Fed Bulk Beef for Charlottesville & Albemarle County

Families throughout Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Crozet, Keswick, and Scottsville place a high priority on clean, ethical, locally sourced food. However, finding genuine 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef without retail boutique markups can be difficult. Many supermarket brands labeled “grass-fed” are finished on grain in commercial feedlots or imported from overseas.

Located just south of Albemarle County in Spout Spring, Lund Angus Farm has been family-owned and operated since 1982. We raise pure Black Angus cattle entirely on Virginia pastures—giving Charlottesville households a direct, transparent connection to the farmer who raised their food.

100% Grass-Fed Health & Nutritional Advantages

When cattle graze exclusively on fresh, natural forage their entire lives, their meat develops a distinctly superior nutritional profile compared to grain-fed animals:

  • Healthy Omega-3 to Omega-6 Ratio: Industrial grain-fed beef often has an inflammatory Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio as high as 15:1. 100% pasture-raised grass-fed beef maintains an ideal ratio near 2:1 or 3:1, supporting cardiovascular health and reducing inflammation.
  • Rich in CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid): Pasture-finished Angus beef contains up to 3 to 5 times more CLA than grain-fed cattle. CLA is a naturally occurring fatty acid known for supporting metabolic health and lean muscle retention.
  • Antioxidants & Vitamins: Grazing on lush Virginia fescue, clover, and seasonal grasses enriches the beef with higher levels of Vitamin E, beta-carotene, zinc, and iron.
  • Zero Hormones, Zero Antibiotics: We never administer growth hormones, feed antibiotics, or use synthetic supplements. Our cattle live calmly on open pasture with clean spring water and fresh air.

Every cut of Lund Angus beef is dry-aged 14 days at USDA-inspected Schrock’s Processing in Gladys, VA, concentrating natural minerals and ensuring remarkable tenderness on your dinner table.
